The Art of Explanation
We all have opinions and things we strongly believe in. But not everyone is good at communicating their beliefs. Many of us don't feel we need to explain ourselves all the time because it's just an "opinion" and we think it's not important. However, the ability to give convincing arguments is a powerful skill that can benefit everyone.
In this class we will compare various content such as movie clips, songs, artwork, clothing, dance performances, etc - and then, we will challenge each others opinions with reasons and logic. In each lesson you will learn a variety of vocabulary and gain lots of confidence, which you can to take with you into any social environment.
Class One: Conflict
We will watch an argument between two character in a movie and discuss who we believe is right or wrong.
Class Two: Logic
We will learn a little about logical fallacies and how being able to identify them can be a powerful tool when engaging in any kind of discussion.
Class Three: Convince
