Do you find yourself too shy to start a conversation with an English speaker, or even with a foreign colleague? Are you afraid to give your opinions and participate in meetings and teleconference calls? Do you find it difficult to change people’s minds and get them to agree with you?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, then this is the perfect course for you! This training will give you the skills and confidence to be an effective member of any business meeting. From striking up a small talk conversation with the person sitting next to you while waiting for the meeting to start, offering your opinions, or persuading others this training will change you from a spectator to a player!
In this lower level course students will focus on building up their vocabulary, learn common expressions and sentences, and increasing their confidence level so that they feel comfortable joining conversations. Students will be given time to organize their thoughts and prepare their answers.
Materials will be provided for each class with a focus on how to be an important participant in any meeting situation. Each class will begin with a short warm up focusing on small talk skills followed by the introduction of various business related topics that will then be discussed. Giving you the opportunity to have you voice heard in a real world meeting type situation.
