這期課程由九小時壓縮為六小時，以至有些主題可能沒有之前深入，但大體而言是門豐富的課。課名是文學，但主要聚焦於魔幻寫實以及相關的議題，課堂外的時間會有一些閱讀資料和小說可以閱讀，整體來說並不會太多生難字，不過Tom有時文章會太晚寄送，可能會讓人有點措手不及。整體而言，Tom非常鼓勵大家發表自己的見解以及詮釋，並不覺得哪一種說法才是唯一的解釋方式。此外也善於使用一些線上網站的遊戲或動畫來帶動課程。喜歡波赫士或魔幻寫實，別錯過這門課。

Film Club: Learning from Short, Powerful Documentaries
With Tom and other three classmates, this class offers a rather relaxing atmosphere to discuss cultural issues. Before every class, Tom selected an article for us and asked us ten questions regarding the reading material. During class, besides discussing the article and questions, Tom would also show us a short video and talk about it. In this term, we covered live streaming, fake mews, dating apps, and races. Tom is good at using some other interfaces and different media to present questions on screen, which is interesting.

A great journey with Tom and other classmates. This course is beyond my imagination, it gives me a glimpse on surrealism and magcial realism and some wonderful writings from Borges and Delmore Schwartz. These are totally new to me and broaden my view. The interactions and feedbacks in the class that we throw to each other are very interesting and helpfull too.

It was an interesting event that you could get an introduction to different literature courses in just two hours. Each teacher gave a concise but informative description of literature based on their interest and specialty and gave time for students to ask questions. Highly recommended for anyone interested in literature but has no idea about the courses.

It's a wonderful learning experience with my fav themes, literature and English. Tr. Tom introduced the Modern style of fiction and literary genre and employed varied materials, such as films, novels, arts, samples of stories, poetry, etc. He coached us from the explanation to analysis then application step by step. A great practising spoken English went through! Thx all the members and Tr. Tom!
